Railway track design is a complex art of engineering. Building a railway track is not easy. One has to be very sure about the consequences of building a railway track because even the minutest mistake can cause a lot of problems and result in fatal accidents. Good engineers have to be appointed to see that there are no problems while laying the track. Building a new railway track does not only mean placing iron tracks along the road.
There might be hindrances while laying the track and the hindrances has to be overcome. There might be a pond in the middle of the path or the track might pass through a forest. There might be mountains on both sides and the path might have to be blasted off. All of this requires lots of careful planning in advance. There are government deadlines to be met and there are the various budgets to be adhered to.
So a railway track design can only be a successful one if all these points are considered. It should also be said that the number of people working for an engineer is also essential. There might be fewer people to work but those people should be efficient. A railway track design should be made in such a way that it causes the least amount of environmental disturbances. Bridges might have to be built over rivers but that should not hinder the water life in any way. The life of the people in adjacent lands should also not be disturbed.
Hence it is seen that a railway track design requires a lot of expertise and time. But if all goes well, places will be joined by railways and people will find it so much easier to travel.
